Alaric Bainbridge
Major Alaric Bainbridge was a member of a shadow military unit within the Federated Suns code named the Coreward Operational Region Expeditionary Division. He is mostly recognized for his part in putting down the Skye Rebellion in 3034. Public relations officer for the then renamed Coreward Regional Defense Battalion, and assigned to garrison the planet Skye, the unit had a secret secondary mission to collect intelligence on the leader of Free Skye movement, Duke Ryan Steiner. When protests and violence erupted beginning the rebellion of 3034, protestors burned flyers bearing the image of Major Bainbridge whilst calling for the Federated Suns unit to leave Skye, earning the Major the callsign "Effigy". As four behemoth enemy Atlas class battlemechs approached the front gate of the local garrison he held them off in his comparably underclassed Catapult until it was disabled and he was forced to eject.
