As the ejection pod arced into the air the dark silhouettes and rising dust from the footsteps of an approaching company of battlemechs began to surround the remaining three Atlases. The first had suffered an emergency shut down when the K2’s final PPC volley had tore through its center torso and stripped the shielding surrounding the engine.
A load speaker sounded off in the distance, "It will take more than a Steiner scout lance to take down the White Knights!" Surrounded and outnumbered the rebels shut down their mechs one by one and surrendered. A pilot emerged from the K2 escape pod and approached the gate as a Jenner approached. The Jenner pilot hopped down and picked up a partially burned poster as the K2 pilot, none other than Major Bainbridge himself walked up. The exchange is said to have gone something like this:
"Had to save your ass again, butter bar!" exclaimed a gruff Alture White.
"Yeah, yeah", sighed the major, ignoring the insulting reference to a lieutenant fresh out of officer training.
Holding up the half burnt poster Alture chuckled, "It looks like they were burning you in effigy."
